Fall River Lake

by Mick

I fish Fall River lake quite often. This 4 lb channel was caught last fall off of Ladd bridge. I had went fishing for crappie, but just dinks were biting, so I just baited up my catfish pole with worms. Less than 10 minutes later this is what was on the hook. I ended up catching 3 more smaller catfish, all within a hour.

I have also done very well fishing for catfish along the flats in the heat of the summer during the day. Thanks for having a place I can post my pictures and give you some fishing reports.

i also fish fall river lake quite often i have a cabin in north rock ridge cove and have been fishing it for years. my best is a 26# flat head but i have seen many larger fish caught out of fall river. actually when i caught my 26#er there were two guys that had 5 fish, the smallest one was 40#'s and the largest was 65#. The biggest fish that i have seen come out of there though was caught by my uncle when i was a kid almost 20 years ago he caught an 80# on a limb line. thats my goal this year is to get a 2 hander out of it when i do ill post it for everyone to see.

Hi Mick
Thanks for posting your picture and report. I also fish Fall River often, because I own a cabin in the Whitehall Bay area. Maybe we will meet up one day out at the lake.

Thanks
Frank
