Fall River Lake Lunker Crappie

I just want to take a second to brag about this beast of a Crappie. I apologize for the cell phone photo. I was Jigging with red Squirt and Squirm, catching smaller Crappies most of the day last Friday at the Fall River Reservoir. I took this 17 inch Crappie in about 11 feet of water in a small cove. The fish weighed 4 pounds on the money, and I was using 6 lb. monofilament. The hit was subtle, but the fight was great. I looked over at my new fishing buddy Jordan, smiled, and said “I think this one is a little bigger.” All I can say is WOOOOHHHOOOOOO!!!!!! Have a great time fishing, and remember to take a child fishing.
